According to foreign media reports, TSMC, which OEMs chips for Apple and other companies, has been at the forefront of the industry in terms of chip processes in recent years, with 7nm and 5nm being the first to be mass produced, and their advanced processes have brought them a large number of chip foundry orders, having been the exclusive foundry for Apple's A-series chips for four consecutive years.
In previous reports, foreign media had reported that MediaTek and Qualcomm had placed additional chip foundry orders with TSMC, covering advanced processes such as 7nm and 5nm.
With the additional orders from customers, TSMC is also expected to expand its production capacity for the corresponding processes to meet demand.
And industry chain sources said that semiconductor equipment suppliers in TSMC's supply chain will be the beneficiaries of TSMC's advanced process capacity expansion, and their performance in the short to medium term is also being bullish.
